A qualified medical professional working in anaesthesiology, intensive care, pain medicine, perioperative medicine, or a related specialty. This includes consultants, specialists, and other fully qualified physicians.

A participant currently in full-time training prior to specialist qualification

Resident doctors who are medically qualified and currently undergoing specialist training (e.g. in anaesthesiology) prior to full certification in their specialty.
Students currently in full-time education prior to receiving a medical degree or professional qualification (e.g. medical or nursing students).
Proof of status is required: an official letter from the institution or a valid student/resident ID must be uploaded during registration.

 

 

Healthcare professionals working in perioperative, critical care, or pain management settings, including:
Nurses
Allied Health Care Professionals (AHCP) (e.g. anaesthesia assistants, perfusionists, physiotherapists)
Full-time researchers or scientists working in academic or scientific institutions, who do not hold a clinical position as an anaesthesiologist
Please note: Clinically active anaesthesiologists who are also engaged in research should register as Delegates (or as Residents if in specialist training).
Proof of status is required: an institutional ID or employer letter must be uploaded during registration.

WFSA Member Societies are eligible for discounted group bookings under the following conditions:

The application must be submitted on official society letterhead, including the list of participants at the time of booking.
The discount applies only to registrations within the same category (e.g. all Delegates, all Residents/Students, or all Nurses/AHCPs/Scientists). Mixed-category group bookings are not eligible.
The group discount is available for early bird registrations only, and the full application must be submitted by the early bird deadline: 21 January 2026, 23:59 GMT+1.
No name changes or cancellations will be accepted once the booking is confirmed.
