Welcome to the space dedicated to the registrations.
A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENTS
Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 26th edition of the French Orthodontic Days, an event that emerged in 1998 with the bold vision of bringing together 12 Scientific Societies for an annual national conference. Over the years, this unique gathering has brought together all the players in the profession: practitioners, students, dental assistants, teachers and manufacturers, creating an unprecedented collaborative dynamic.
Since their inception, the French Orthodontic Days have evolved steadily, from a national event to a major European event. Last year, we reached a new milestone with almost 2,750 registrants and an exhibition covering more than 2,500 m2. This success is the product of the unwavering commitment of a group of passionate volunteers, supported by a dedicated administrative team. Under the guidance of Scientific President Michel Le Gall for the next two years, the very core of our Congress is now rooted in the constant pursuit of excellence, an aspiration that transcends borders.
For this year's event, the French Orthodontic Days are becoming even more international by welcoming a number of world-renowned speakers and by playing an active role in the French-speaking world. What's more, the conference now features simultaneous French-English interpreting, so as to better accommodate our colleagues from all over the world. The program includes over 40 scientific sessions, alternating between lectures, workshops, presentations for assistants and poster sessions. Explore the latest scientific advances, discover revolutionary approaches and broaden your horizons by taking part in the exciting discussions taking place in our different halls.
Once again this year, we are honored to welcome a prestigious guest for an unforgettable inaugural conference. Our colleague, Dr. Jean-Louis Etienne, specialist in nutrition and sports biology, explorer and tireless defender of the planet, will share his approach and vision with us.
We'll also be getting together for the FFO soirée, where the emphasis will be on friendly, memorable exchanges, and the renowned mentalist Viktor Vincent who is sure to dazzle you with his mind-bending feats.
The French Orthodontic Days are also about solidarity! From now on, a portion of the proceeds from our event will be donated to non-profit organizations: Aide Odontologique Internationale, Pour un Sourire d'Enfant and Face au Monde enable children from all over the world to come to France and benefit from the best techniques in facial reconstructive surgery.
This year will be marked by a profound absence affecting the French Orthodontic Days Organizing Committee. Our thoughts are with Christine Boehm-Hurez who, through her unfailing commitment from the very beginning and with her outstanding rigor, contributed enormously to the success of the French Orthodontic Days in becoming a benchmark event. Despite her discreet nature, year after year she succeeded in breathing life into our congress, always motivated by a drive for excellence and inspired countless young speakers to join us. And for that we are eternally grateful. The "Graine de conférenciers" award now bears her name...
So, together, let's kick off this 26th edition of the French Orthodontic Days with a bang! It is our sincere hope that this new international edition marks a starting point for new and fruitful collaborations, enriching exchanges and a renewed commitment to excellence.
Welcome to the 2024 French Orthodontic Days!
Jean-Michel Foucart
President of the French Orthodontic Days Organizing Committee
Dear Catherine,
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your exceptional commitment as former Scientific President of this incredible event.
Your tireless dedication to excellence and your enlightened leadership have been key elements in the success of the last 2 editions of the French Orthodontic Days (Journées de l'Orthodontie). You brought unrivaled passion and energy to the planning and coordination of this major event for our profession.
On behalf of all the various committees, I'd like to thank you for your hard work, dedication and expertise.
With all my gratitude.
The Queen is Dead, Long Live the King!
Dear friends, colleagues, practitioners, researchers and orthodontic enthusiasts, we find ourselves at the dawn of a new and exciting era as we prepare to host the French Federation of Orthodontic's 2024 Congress, the renowned French Orthodontic Days.
Our central theme for these two years - "Perfection, no - Excellence, yes" - raises a profound question that embodies the constant evolution of our profession.
Orthodontics is much more than a quest for perfection. It is based on excellence in understanding our patients' individual needs, mastery of the latest techniques, and commitment to the highest ethical standards. This Congress will provide an ideal opportunity to reflect upon these fundamental principles.
EXCELLENCE BEGINS WITH KNOWLEDGE:
We are witnessing incredible scientific and technological advances in our field. New technologies such as 3D modeling, 3D printing, and telemedicine are revolutionizing the way we practice. These tools are enabling us to care for our patients in more personalized and effective ways. Excellence demands that we remain at the forefront of these developments, for the benefit of our patients.
EXCELLENCE DEMANDS HOLISTIC UNDERSTANDING:
Orthodontics is not just about aligning teeth, but about understanding the impact on the patient's overall oral health and quality of life. Our role is not just to create the perfect smile, but to solve complex functional and aesthetic problems. Our excellence is measured in our ability to treat each patient holistically, taking into account their specific needs.
EXCELLENCE IS BASED ON ETHICS:
Our profession is founded on the trust of our patients. Excellence means being responsible for maintaining the highest ethical standards. This includes transparency in our procedures, clear communication with our patients, and the protection of their privacy. We are healthcare professionals, and excellence in our practice means treating every patient with respect and integrity.
EXCELLENCE IS BUILT THROUGH OPEN EXCHANGE:
The Orthodontic Days are also a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience. We invite each and every one of you to take an active part in the discussions, share your ideas and learn from others. This is how we all work together to achieve excellence in our profession.
Ultimately, orthodontics as a discipline is constantly evolving, guided by a commitment to excellence. Together, at the 2024 French Federation of Orthodontics Congress, we will explore these principles and chart a course towards greater excellence in orthodontics than ever before. We cannot wait to welcome you to these stimulating and enriching days, where excellence in orthodontics will be at the heart of every discussion and decision.
We look forward to seeing you at what we hope will be an exceptional Congress.
Michel Le Gall
