Instructions for the submission of abstract
- Abstracts must be submitted for poster presentation only
- Abstract should contain original data
- The abstract text must be no more than 500 words (excluding title and authors’ information)
- Abstracts should be submitted in English
- Do not use charts, graphs or tables in your abstracts must include the following four areas:
Introduction: A brief statement regarding the purpose of the study and the current state of research in the field.
Methods: The method(s) of study or experimental approach must be briefly defined.
Results: A summary of the study results, including sufficient details to support those conclusions, must be described.
Conclusions: A statement explaining the significance of the work and its implications for further research.
JUNIOR INVESTIGATOR GRANT
The International Epilepsy Colloquium is committed to furthering the epilepsy research interests of young investigators, including pharmacy and medical students or residents, and to developing their research skills through networking at international meetings.
This program specifically provides funding to support high quality presentation at the colloquium.
Eligibility:
- Research related to pediatric and adolescent epileptics
- Scientific work accepted as an abstract
- Up to 35 years old
- Applicant CV
- Recommendation letter from their head of department, also confirming their status in the team.
Criteria for selection: Recipient(s) will be selected based on the scientific quality of the abstract, the methodology, relevance and significance of the research to epilepsy.
Abstract Selection Process and Acceptance
Submitted abstracts will undergo a peer review process by members of the scientific committee.
Compliance with all stated conditions including adherence to the deadline is required.
Acknowledgement of receipt of completed abstracts will be sent via email upon submission.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to determine acceptance of an abstract.
The secretariat will notify authors of acceptance via email.
All presenters of selected abstracts are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fees for the corresponding meeting. Individuals submitting abstracts agree that if their abstract is accepted, they will attend the meeting and present their abstract as scheduled. Once an abstract has been accepted and scheduled for presentation, it cannot be withdrawn.
