VILLEGA Frédéric

 

Frédéric Villéga is a neuropediatrician at the Bordeaux University Hospital. He works in Laurent Groc's team in collaboration with Prof. Jérôme Honnorat and Prof. Kumaran Deiva to identify and treat the dysimmune origin of neuropsychiatric disorders. His projects are based on a strong expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmunity in neuropsychiatric diseases, which has obtained major support and is fully integrated in an international consortium. He has thus participated in the structuring and coordination of French and European efforts to describe the contribution of pathogenic auto-antibodies directed against neurotransmitter receptors in the etiology of psychiatric disorders.
