Christoph BAUMGARTNER

 

Professor Baumgartner is Chairman of the Neurological Department, Clinic Hietzing, Head of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at the Clinic Hietzing, Head of the Karl Landsteiner Institute for Clinical Epilepsy Research and Cognitive Neurology, and Full Professor for Epileptology and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Medical Faculty of the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, Austria. His research interests include clinical seizure semiology, epilepsy surgery, advanced EEG analysis including EEG source imaging and automatic seizure detection, EEG in the intensive care unit and mobile health devices in epilepsy. He has published more than 300 research articles and edited several books. He has served as President of the German Working Group for Presurgical Epilepsy Evaluation and Epilepsy Surgery, as President of the Austrian Chapter of the International League Against Epilepsy and as President of the Austrian Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
