Dr. Dennis T. Villareal is a physician-scientist and professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine, and a staff physician at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. A leading expert on aging, frailty, and obesity, his research focuses on lifestyle, hormonal, and nutritional interventions to reverse sarcopenic obesity and improve functional outcomes in older adults. Dr. Villareal’s work has informed clinical guidelines for the treatment of obesity and frailty, with a special emphasis on translating evidence into practice to promote independence and healthy aging.

Dr. Lee received a medical degree from Stony Brook, State University of New York and completed Endocrinology Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to Lilly, Dr. Lee was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Division of Endocrinology with clinical expertise and research focus on type 2 diabetes and obesity.
