Pier Paolo BERTI

 

 

Pier Paolo Berti, MD, PhD(c) is a consultant neurosurgeon at the Hospital of Bolzano, Italy, where he is engaged in clinical, surgical, and research activities with a focus on neuro-oncology and brain trauma. Moreovre, he is a PhD candidate in Medical Science at the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria. His clinical and research interests include the application of neuronavigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (nTMS), cortical plasticity in glioma patients, functional prehabilitation strategies, and the integration of advanced imaging modalities such as 18F-FET PET in neuro-oncology and brain trauma.

In December 2025, he served as Scientific Director of a transdisciplinary meeting on brain concussion, endorsed by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINCH) and involving an international faculty. He recently joined the WFNS (World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies) Research Committee and Trauma Section, where he continues to develop his research interests in traumatic brain injury (TBI).
