Mamede De Carvalho

Mamede de Carvalho is a full professor of Physiology and Head of Neuromuscular Unir in Santa Maria Hospital -CHLN. He is a neurologist with large experience and clinical neurophysiologist with particular training in neuromuscular disorders. He conducted research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis over the last 25 years, being involved in European Projects and other national and international cooperation protocols. As Director of the Physiology Institute he has a privileged position to lead translational research projects.
