Janus Lindqvist

I am a 39 year old neurologist and Danish board certified clinical neurophysiologist. I finished my neurology training in 2015 and went straight to neurophysiology training with the sole purpose of doing ultrasound of peripheral nerves. The ultrasound technology is mind-boggling and exceptionally fascinating.

I work at the department of clinical neurophysiology at Rigshospitalet Copenhagen. Being a ultrasound nerd i spend most of my working time doing combined ultrasound and EMG investigations in our lab. Most of our time in the lab is used in a clinical context seeing patients and advising our referring collaborators.

Together with Nils Wolfram i strive to make neurophysiology relevant in the acute setting and hopefully change the mindset of our operating colleagues as well as our neurological colleagues.

Being the youngest and “newest” recruit on the ultrasound team my focus in the sessions will be to actually try and get the participants to grab the probe and hopefully get started with using ultrasound in their daily practice in their own lab.
