FLUSS Joel

 

Dr Joel Fluss completed most of his medical studies and pediatric training in Geneva.

He started his child neurology training in Switzerland and completed a 2-years fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sickkids). Interested in pediatric neuropsychology and school learning disorders.

Learning disorders, he spent  2 years at the Kremlin-Bicêtre Hospital in Paris where he conducted many studies on reading disabilities and environmental influences.

His main areas of interest are fetal neurology, perinatal and  childhood stroke,  cognitive aspects of early brain damage, and intellectual disability.

He has authored or co-authored scientific publications in most pediatric neurology journals.

He is active in pre- and post-graduate teaching, as well as in promoting close collaboration between health and educational professionals around children with disabilities.
