Super Session 9 - Sustainable HealthCare – myth or reality?
•
Plenary Room A3
Hosted by Arthur D. Little
New, innovative solutions are required to ensure the sustainability of healthcare systems around the world. The on-going digitalization movement has already proven to deliver new and cost-saving solutions, but the potential is still largely untapped. Additionally, improved technologies enabling e.g. early diagnosis and precision medicine, opens the way towards preventive medicine and improved efficiency of treatments. Implementing new solutions that improve patient care while also curbing escalating costs, require new forms of collaboration between academia, healthcare, life science companies, authorities and patients. Examples on how digitalization and other programs can provide value to healthcare will be presented, but this session will also dive deep into questions such as: Are healthcare personnel prepared to embrace new solutions? What is required for digital initiatives between academia, the tech and life science industries and healthcare to truly deliver?
