CALL FOR ABSTRACT
47th SENP MEETING

The SENP association invites you to submit an abstract to be considered for inclusion in the Scientific Program of the SENP meeting. Accepted abstracts will be presented in either thematic Poster Sessions or Oral Abstract Sessions.
Also, twenty abstracts relevant to the themes of the meeting will be selected by the Organizing Committee and published in Neuropediatrics, a highly respected journal with an impact factor that has increased of the past years to reach 1.571 in 2016!

A / Abstract Information
- Every abstract submission will me made online on the website www.senp-neuropediatrie.eu : no submission by mail or email will be accepted.
- The Selection Committe reserves the right to refuse abstracts which don't consistent the formal criteria / theme criteria.
- Please note que the Committee may change the choice of your presentation according to the number of spaces available.
- We kindly remind you that presenting author, once the abstract accepted, must be registered to the congress.
- Deadline extended for the abstract submission: January 10th, 2019.
B / Abstract Guidelines
1) Access to your personal depositary space:
- If you already have an account please write your login below;
- If you haven't an account yet, you can get one by clicking on "create your depositary space"
2) Choose "New abstract".
3) Add your abstract tittle and choose in the drop-down menu :
- Wished type of presentation (oral communication, clinical case discussion ou poster). If your abstract is chosen, the Scientific Committee will decide the presentation's type.
- Topic (1/Environment and Neurodevelopment; 2/ Neonatal encephalopathies: management and outcome; 3/other).
Please carefully read the Abstract Guidelines below before submitting an abstract. Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through this web page.
It is the author's responsibility to submit a correctly edited and accurate abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
All Presenting Authors will receive detailed presentation guidelines when their abstract has been accepted and closer to the Congress.
4) Write the name of the first author (surname, name, email, affiliation, City, Country). The affiliation's number will be "1" and check the case "Main author" or "Speaker". The information relative to the abstract will be sent to the first author (who submit the abstract). Click on "New Co-Author" if you want to add co-authors (10 max). It involves that you've the co-authors' autorization.
Acknowledgement of the receipt of the abstract submission will be sent to the Presenting Author's email address immediately upon submission. In addition, all communication in regards to the Scientific Program, acceptance and presentation will be communicated using the Presenting Author’s email.
5) Be careful to those elements before submitting your abstract :
- The abstract must be written and/or presented in English.
- Abstracts must contain original data and meet international ethical standards.
- Previously published and presented abstracts can be submitted.
- A maximum of 2,500 characters (approximately 400 words) is allowed for the abstract text.
- The abstract title must be in sentence case with no full stop at the end and no underlining.
- The abstract title and the author(s) or names of institutions are not to be included in the abstract text.
In order to make the abstract as informative as possible, please provide:
- a brief statement of the purpose of the study
- the method used
- the result observed
- the conclusions based upon the results
EXAMPLE
A) Background: A statement of purpose of the study (preferably one sentence).
B) Methods: A brief statement of the methods used. For abstracts reporting clinical research, a sentence or phrase presenting the most important selection criteria for subjects should be included.
C) Results: A summary of the results presented in sufficient detail with statistical analysis to support the conclusions.
D) Conclusions: A statement of the conclusions reached. It is not satisfactory to state, "the results will be discussed," or "other data will be presented," etc.
6) You can now preview and save in the drafts your abstract, to modify it before the validation.
7) To submit your abstract, you have to click on "Submission". From this moment, you won't be able to make any modification from your depositary space.
