Agenda

The Summit agenda is currently under development and will be available soon. Registered attendees will be notified as more information becomes available.

The Summit will start with cultural and technical visits hosted by Mexico City from 1pm on 30 November, followed by the opening ceremony from 6 to 8pm. A post-ceremony reception will follow until 9.30pm.

Thursday 01 December will feature a series of plenary sessions led by mayors and influential speakers, while the evening will host the C40 Cities Awards ceremony where cities from around the world will be recognised for the outstanding performances and leadership they demonstrate in addressing climate change in the fields of 10 categories.

Friday 02 December will host plenary sessions followed by the closing ceremony, ending by 5pm.

The Summit will take place one year after the historic COP21 climate negotiations, and will provide a global forum to highlight the progress that cities are continuing to make on climate change through local action and global collaboration.

The mayors of the world’s greatest cities will once again demonstrate their leadership in building a broad coalition to act on this most pressing issue of our times.
