ROULET PEREZ Eliane
Head of Pediatric Neurology and Neurorehabilitation Unit at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Professor of Pediatric Neurology at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne since 2005. When I started my training in Pediatrics in 1983 after a short passage in Orthopedics and Anesthetics, I soon fell into the magic caldron of Neurology pushed by Thierry Deonna, who became my mentor and friend. I can define myself as a general pediatric neurologist interested in paroxysmal disorders, epilepsy and cognitive neurology. The definition of childhood epilepsy syndromes and their impact on behavior, language and cognition became the main topics of my clinical research and publications, including a book written with Thierry on the epilepsy-aphasia spectrum, published in 2016. Building bridges between child neurology and psychiatry in the field of developmental and learning disorders and teaching neurology with its rigorous reasoning and constant questioning are also important facets of my activity.
