Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We shall be very pleased to welcome you to the 7th Hepato -­Biliary -­Pancreatic Surgery and Transplantation Symposium, which will take place in Montpellier – La Grande Motte from the 12th to the 14th of September 2016.

We maintain the philosophy of our founding members coming from countries around the Mediterranean by favouring the scientific quality of the presentations and the conviviality of our country and the region of the south of France.

In an innovative spirit, we’d like this meeting to be a clinical and practical approach to situations, which we have encountered through our respective experiences, which are rarely the object of exchanges, in order to contribute to the amelioration of surgical care of our patients. Complex operations, unforeseen situations, the major stress for surgeons and other subjects which will, I hope, be discussed and shared by a panel of surgeons in a constructive and formative situation.

Another essential point is that of the confraternity that we actively wish to promote on an international level. Many colleagues and friends from Asia, South America, North America, Europe and others have already responded and will be present.

I am sending you a pre-­program which, I hope will meet in the best possible way your ambitions, however the success of this meeting relies on you, inspired by your experience, your medical philosophy and your commitment.
